Wisconsin woman hit 3 times in car accident

A chain reaction accident occurred on a Dane County highway. The morning commute turned tragic when a 58-year-old woman was killed. Wisconsin authorities believe that the glare from the sun may have been a contributing factor to the car accident.

According to authorities, the morning car accident occurred along the highway following a previous collision. A motorcycle reportedly crashed into the woman's vehicle, and when she exited, she was suddenly was struck by another vehicle a brief moment later. After the impact, the woman was struck by a second and third vehicle. A total of eight vehicles were involved in the accident and four people were reportedly injured in the chain reaction crash.

The exact details of the victims conditions have not been released. The woman was unable to survive the crash and was pronounced dead. Since the deadly accident, authorities have made recommendations for motorists to exercise due care while traveling the roadways, especially when there is a high amount of sun glare. No citations or arrests have been reported and authorities have not indicated any future charges.

One or more of the drivers in the crash could face civil litigation. The victims of this horrific incident may experience pain and suffering in relation to their injuries and elect to pursue personal injury lawsuits against the party responsible. In hind sight, the family of the deceased woman may also be entitled to file a wrongful death suit. In regard to this car accident, the civil court system in Wisconsin may offer financial relief if evidence demonstrates that the other party was negligent by causing or contributing to the injuries or death.
